| 1. High-voltage wires of spark plugs should be checked (and if necessary to change) simultaneously with replacement of candles. |
| 2. The elementary way of check consists in survey of wires on the working engine in the blacked out garage. At detection of a luminescence (breakdown) of a wire replace. Check up a condition of a cover and бегунка the distributor. |
| 3. For check and clearing of wires disconnect each wire separately. On cars of late releases it is required to remove an overlay on a cover of a head of cylinders. Disconnect a wire on a distributor cover. Check up a condition of contacts of wires and sealants. Wipe wires. A wire strongly do not bend, as the current-carrying vein can break. At detection of cracks, traces of breakdown and подгорания wires replace. |
| 4. Check up corrosion presence on sockets of tips of wires (from both parties) and conclusions of candles. Check up durability of demountable connection, having dressed on a candle a tip of a wire and having shaken it. At leaky connection draw in contact petals. |

5. Turn away screws of fastening and uncover the ignition distributor. Wipe a cover absolutely and check up presence inside and outside of a cover of cracks, traces of superficial breakdown (the thin charred paths), deterioration, подгорания and easings of contacts (fig. | 6. Remove бегунок (a photo at the left) and examine in the places specified by arrows on a photo on the right. |
| 7. If the old cover check up resistance between a conclusion of a cover and a candle is established. If resistance exceeds norm replace a cover and a wire. Change each wire separately. |
