2.22. Check and greasing of the exhaust valve

THE GENERAL DATA

On a part of cars the exhaust valve which is mounted on a joint of an exhaust pipe and a collector is provided. On the cold engine the valve перенаправляет a stream of exhaust gases in soaking up collector owing to what evaporation of fuel and smoothness of work of the engine on small speeds of movement improve.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. On the cold engine check up freedom of moving of the lever of a drive. At the complicated moving grease an axis with special refractory greasing.

2. Start the engine and watch a counterbalance of the valve which at start should move to the closed position and in process of warming up gradually to be slightly opened. It is possible to designate also the closed position and after a short trip to check up valve opening.
