Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect the battery from weight.

2. Disconnect from the distributor sockets.

3. Find on a cover of the distributor a label of a high-voltage conclusion of 1st cylinder. If the label on a cover is absent, find a corresponding conclusion on a wire from 1st cylinder.

4. Uncover the distributor and, having turned коленвал, establish бегунок opposite to a high-voltage conclusion of 1st cylinder.

5. Put a label on the bottom edge of the case of the distributor, it is direct under the index бегунка. Put also labels on the case of the distributor and on a head of cylinders to provide correct installation of the distributor at assemblage.

6. If the design provides fastening of the distributor by two bolts with заплечиками release these bolts, but completely do not turn on.

7. Turn away a bolt of fastening of the distributor (it is shown by an arrow), then submit the distributor in a horizontal direction and get it. Turn коленвала after removal of the distributor from the engine is not supposed.

Installation

The prevention
If коленвал nevertheless turned after distributor removal establish the piston of 1st cylinder in ВМТ a step of compression and сориентируйте бегунок and the distributor case.

1. Replace a sealing ring on a distributor shaft.

2. At installation of the distributor dredging (1) should be turned upwards.

The prevention
On cars since 1993 at installation are combined a flute in the case of the distributor and a ledge on a drive gear wheel.

3. Insert the distributor into the engine, it is exact сориентировав the case on the put labels.

4. If the distributor is not established in a place once again check up the labels put on the basis of the case of the distributor and on the engine before dismantling. Establish the distributor precisely on these labels. Check up also orientation бегунка, the label on бегунке should coincide with a label on the basis of the case, put before dismantling.

5. Wrap a bolt of fastening of the distributor.

6. Further installation is carried out upside-down.

7. Check up installation of the moment of ignition, tighten a bolt of fastening of the distributor.
