THE GENERAL DATA

Radical and шатунные bearings at engine major repairs are subject to the obligatory replacement, however the bearings which were in operation should be checked up carefully to restore the general condition of the engine at the moment of repair.

Sources of rupture of bearings of a cranked shaft are insufficient greasing because of wrong assemblage, pollution and penetration of extraneous particles, frequent overloads of the engine, corrosion, etc. Irrespective of the reason which have caused destruction of bearings, it should be eliminated.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If bearings of standard dimensional groups the new bearing steals up under numbers put on replaced, and also under numbers on the block of cylinders and коленвале with use of tables are established.
2. If коленвал it was ground, bearings should be selected in car-care centre in which polishing was carried out.
3. After selection of bearings measure a backlash in necks (subsection 3.3.8.2 see).
4. Industrially at engine assemblage bearings with different colour marks which are put on an edge of the loose leaf of the bearing are established.
5. Marks of dimensional group of bearings are usually put from outside the loose leaf, turned to a back part коленвала, except for the back radical loose leaf which is marked from outside turned to a forward part коленвала.
6. It is supposed to establish the top and bottom loose leaves from various dimensional groups. For example, to correct a backlash on 0,0125 mm the standard loose leaf sometimes it is used with the loose leaf from group with the reduced diameter on 0,025 mm.

The prevention

It is forbidden to establish pair of loose leaves if distinction of their diameters exceeds 0,025 mm. On the size it is necessary to establish different loose leaves either all from above, or all from below.
