The prevention

The central air highway is under a high pressure. Before full removal of a coolant it is forbidden to disconnect any hoses and to remove central air units. Coolant removal should be carried out in car-care centre.

Check and leaving

Care of the conditioner is reduced to performance of following procedures:

  – Check of a condition and a tension of a belt of the compressor;
  – Check of a condition of hoses and tubes (a highway on to disunite!);
  – Clearing of intercostal spaces of the condenser;
  – Check of refuelling of system by a coolant.

The conditioner should be included monthly approximately for 10 minutes

The most widespread reason of unsatisfactory work of the conditioner is insufficient refuelling of a coolant. If appreciable rise in temperature of air from the conditioner check up completeness of refuelling of a coolant is observed.

Check of refuelling of a coolant

1. Warm up the engine.
2. Translate рычажок a temperature regulator in the position corresponding to the lowest temperature, establish the highest speed of the fan.
3. Open doors.
4. Check up compressor inclusion at which click electromagnetic муфты is distributed, and the central part муфты starts to rotate.
5. After the system leaves on operating conditions, compare temperature of two tubes of the compressor.
6. If the temperature of tubes наоprobeь differs poorly refuelling by a coolant is necessary.
7. On the working conditioner bring the thermometer to the central part of the channel of an air outlet. Air temperature on an exit from the channel should be on 17-20 From more low ambient temperature.
8. If air temperature very high, for example 45 With air temperature on an exit from the conditioner can reach 15 With.
9. If temperature of cooled air above than standard refuelling of the conditioner by a coolant is necessary.
10. The further checks of the conditioner are beyond the given management and should be carried out by the prepared personnel.
11. Check up a coolant condition through viewing glass (it is specified by an arrow). Viewing glass is built in in a highway from шлагоотделителя on cars of a series 80, on cars of a series 60, 62 window is located on влагоотделителе.
12. If at the working conditioner in glass foaming the quantity of a coolant is not enough is observed.
13. Keep in mind that at an environment heat in viewing glass vials, even can be observed at normal refuelling of a coolant.
14. When the conditioner is switched off also quantity of a coolant in norm, in viewing glass small foaming which disappears subsequently also is observed.


If the heating of air in a heater is absent, the following can be the reasons.

  – The thermostat is not closed, therefore the liquid is warmed up insufficiently and badly warms up a heater radiator. Replace the thermostat (subsection 4.3 see);
  – The heater hose that interferes with a liquid stream through a radiator is littered. Disconnect hoses and wash out a radiator a stream of water from a hose;
  – If at washing water does not pass through a heater radiator the radiator is littered and is subject to replacement.

If the stream of air from the ventilating snuffled does not correspond to the established speed of rotation of the fan check up safety locks, conducting, the switch, the resistor of the electric motor and the electric motor.

If from exhaust outlets of air lines air does not arrive, arrive as follows.

1. Turn the ignition key in position ON and include the fan. Noise of the working electric motor should be listened.
2. If the electric motor rumble is not listened, or if check shows that the switch and the block of resistors are serviceable, malfunction of the electric motor can be the reason.
3. If the rug is humidified, or through ventilating apertures steams of a cooling liquid in a heater radiator there is a leak get.
4. Replace a radiator (to repair is not subject).
5. Check up cleanliness of a drain hose влагоотделителя.
